Wardtown Mobile Home Cooperative is a resident-owned manufactured home community in beautiful Freeport, Maine. We are a terrific neighborhood for people who like a suburban setting that's an easy drive to Portland and Brunswick, Maine. 

Wardtown Mobile Home Cooperative is owned by the community members who live here -- we are a resident-owned community (ROC). That means together, we own the land beneath our homes, control the rent and make the rules. In the fall of 2014, we formed our cooperative, and, in May of 2015, the cooperative purchased the land and infrastructure, including the roads and water lines. A democratically elected board of directors oversees the day-to-day business of running Wardtown Mobile Home Cooperative. Every member household in the community has a say in who sits on that board, how we spend our money, the annual budget, and whether we make changes to the rent.
